Tour All Winter by Foxes In Fiction
originally by Coma Cinema…I’m back at my Mom’s house in the suburbs for a few days to help her pack up everything as she gets ready to move to a new house. I don’t have any of my instruments or recording gear here except for a 20 dollar guitar and the first electric guitar I ever owned; some half-destroyed three-stringed Washburn electric guitar that I played acoustically. Using both of them I decided to throw together this quick cover of one of my favourite songs by Coma Cinema (who I had the pleasure of meeting recently and as a result I’ve fallen in love with his entire catalog again). I didn’t leave my bed while recording it and the only means I had to record was with the microphone built into my computer so it’s considerably lo-fi. Regardless, I hope you enjoy it, I’ll probably record a better version once I get home to Toronto. Love you all, good things coming soon.

Teenage Dream by Weed & Foxes In Fiction
originally by Katy Perryvia boyattractions:

By now, I’m sure you’ve all heard about the super-wonderful Collaborations tape curated by our friends at Dead as Digital, The Road Goes Ever On, and Stadiums and Shrines. It’s the product of a lot of hard work between some pretty great artists (Teen Daze, Closed Cassette, Ghost Animal, to name a few) so go and grab yourself one if you haven’t already (its only $6!). Mike from D.A.D. was kind enough to shoot us a promo copy, which I’ve been slowly spacing out to while putting off an English paper.
Weed and Foxes in Fiction’s cover of “Teenage Dream” has quickly become a favorite, namely because a) it features two incredibly talented people and b) it’s a Katy Perry cover. Not only is it pretty faithful to the original (yes, I actually brought myself to listen to it) but hearing Anderson and Hildebrand deliver those lyrics with a straight face is something to behold. Excellent work all around, folks!
